    This hill country residence sits on a bluff overlooking the north fork of the Guadalupe River. The existing site was raised approximately eight feet due to periodic flooding and as a result the home commands 180-degree views of the river and cypress tree canopy.

  • Nottingham


    CDS had completed six restaurants for this houston businessman when asked to design a new residence in West University. Knowing of the client's affinity for Tuscan architecture, the design integrates stucco detailing, covered terraces, stone, and tile roofs into an urban setting.

  • Taylor Lake


    This 10,000 Sf contemporary residence is made of white concrete and includes a 23 foot high central ceiling, a 36 foot long stainless steel bridge, a floating fireplace and a terrace pool on the edge of Taylor Lake in the Clear Lake area.

  • Tea Time


    This hill country residence was designed for three individuals who share hobby, recreation, and entertainment interests but require private living quarters. This home has been featured in the New York Times and was the subject of a HGTV Dream Builders Episode.

  • Johnson City


    This hill country residence takes advantage of the panoramic views of the site incorporating a broad porch, numerous banks of windows, and a separate multi-level office and library structure that rises over 35 feet.

  • Telluride


    An 18th century Dutch barn structure was utilized to construct this mountain resort residence in Colorado. Entertainment and family areas were placed on the second floor so that views towards numerous mountain peaks were possible.

  • Tiki Island


    The primary residence includes several outdoor entertaining areas and a courtyard pool overlooking the boat docks and channel.

  • Bachman Creek


    A U-shaped floor plan surrounds a pool and landscaped terraces in this newly-constructed residence. An outdoor screened porch, the kitchen, dining, family room, formal living room and the private master suite all have direct access to the outdoor entertaining levels from throughout the main living areas.

  • Jarita Creek


    To analyse the site of this multi-generational family ranch retreat, the owner and architect traversed the land over two days to pick the optimum wind, sun and view opportunities. The retreat consists of an entertainment structure with kitchen, dining and communal areas, three “bunk” houses for separate family quarters, a private master living/sleeping quarters and a sleeping structure for “all the kids”. All structures are connected by a continuous 275-foot long covered porch.

  • Hilshire Village


    Situated on a triangular lot, with two-thirds of the property within the floodway, this residence is accessed by a private bridge and is cantilevered over a steep ravine and creek. Designed for an avid art collector, the home is planned for entertaining and receptions..

  • Navasota Ranch


    Designed as a weekend residence, this hilltop location takes advantage of prevailing breezes and views to provide outside entertaining and living areas. The site has 180-degree horizon views with all interior rooms aligned so that each has access to the terraces and porches along the exterior.

  • Boomer Lifestyle


    Designed for the aging urbanite, Boomer Lifestyle Homes facilitate an active city life while accomidating for future aging. The single story residences have an open entertainment floorplan with an indoor to outdoor essence. Natural light carves into the spaces though extensive windows and high coffered ceilings.
